Jenny Seagrove

Jenny SeagroveJenny was born and raised in Malaysia, but from the age of 9 educated at St. Hilary’s, Godalming and Queen Anne’s, Caversham, going home for summer holidays.

Her early dream was to be a vet but having got her science A levels she realized that she wasn’t cut out emotionally for this career and decided to become an actress instead- quite a decision u turn for her parents to absorb! She then sailed through a year at Kirby Lodge in Cambridge- immersing herself in the Arts, and after that applied to and got into The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Here she trained alongside Daniel Day Lewis, Miranda Richardson, Greta Scacci, Alex Jennings, Amanda Redman…to name but a few.

Her early career took off very quickly. She began in the theatre, quickly progressing to star in such films and television series as Local Hero, Diana, The Woman in White and of course A Woman of Substance. She has worked consistently since then and has played the lead in 15 West End plays. She starred opposite Martin Shaw, in the hit BBC series Judge John Deed, playing the feisty but caring Jo Mills and her latest film role is the lead in Another Mother’s Son, a true story set on Jersey in WW2.

Her love of nature and animals has underpinned everything and she is an ardent supporter of all things Organic. She is a Patron of too many Charities to list, but also a Trustee of The Born Free Foundation and the Founding Trustee of Mane Chance Sanctuary.
She lives in London with her partner Bill Kenwright CBE and their spaniel Louie. She is of course an Everton supporter!!!
